Located in Pallistajavaara, this route is unique as it narrates the stages in the life of Olympic ski champion Eero Mäntyranta. The areas that the French Maupertuis surveying expedition visited in 1736–1737 are also displayed on the path's observation tower.
It is also home to the oldest tree in Lapland, an ancient pine that stands out from the rest, has survived at least five fires and is estimated to be an impressive 770 years old!
